This podcast will be centered around survival skills, prepping skills and how our everyday lives are affected more and more by the changes in the world today. In the podcast I will take recorded questions or emails from the listeners as well as interviews from some of the leading minds in the preparedness and survival community.

We hope to make this one of the best podcasts available today. There are quite a few great podcasts out there, but this is a challenge we are willing to take on. This is where we could use your help.

How Can You Help?

It’s simple, we want to know what you want to hear. We want to create a podcast that you can learn from, be entertained by and actually look foreword to listening to. That’s why we created the Survivalist Prepper Podcast survey, to get your input and produce a show that you want to listen to, not a show that we think you want to listen to. If you have a second, click the link above and take the quick 5 question survey and help us produce a great podcast.

What Can You Expect?

As I said earlier in the post, we want to do interviews with respected preppers and webmasters, we want to take listener questions by email or recorded messages, we want it to be educational and we want to be as entertaining as possible to keep your undivided attention.

We are very honest and hard working people, as a result I tend to rant and speak my mind. If something pushes my buttons like Benghazi, Welfare and our government all together I will talk about it. As it stands now, I still have the right to speak my mind, and you have the right to disagree with me.

We will speak to our strengths and not act like we have the answer to every question you ask, if we don’t know the answer, we will find someone out there who does.

I would love to say I was smart enough to become a prepper and take my future more serious at an earlier age but that is not the case. I am not completely new at this either, My wife Lisa is a registers nurse specializing in advanced wound care and I have been a prepper/survivalist in one form or another for some time now. Over the last 10 years we have began to get more involved and more concerned about our welfare and our family’s welfare.

I want go cover some of the real problems and limitations preppers face these days, such as:

  • How you can use your time better.
  • Having the right mindset for self reliance.
  • How to prep on a budget.
  • Other things like “how am I going to plant a garden if I don’t even have a back yard?”
  • How can I defend myself if things go bad?

We have had, and are still overcoming the same problems as you, so why not ask others in the prepper community how they deal with these problems, and learn something along the way. That’s what this is all about right, learning how to be self sufficient and not rely on everyone and everything for our survival.

What You Will Not Get

I will not be the tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, I am not going to take an entire podcast and dedicate it to the Illuminati and the Georgia guide stones. As interesting as these things are to me I just don’t see the point. I also feel like there is a huge misconception that preppers are all gun toting whack jobs that want the world to end so we can say “I told you so.” In reality we are just like everyone else, with a little more common sense…in my opinion.

I am a religious man, but I will not use this podcast to further my agenda politically or religiously. Like I said, I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve so I will not shy away from speaking my mind about what I feel is the truth. On the other hand I won’t tell you that you are going to hell if you don’t believe…that’s not something for me to decide.

When Will The Podcast Be Out?

I am really excited about this podcast and I really want it to be great. So with that being said I want to get it out as quickly as possible, but I don’t want to rush it. I am hoping to have 3 episodes ready to go in under a month. Why 3 episodes? Because I want to give you a real taste for what the podcast is going to be about, rather than just one show explaining what the show is going to be about.

Again, if you could take a minute and take the 5 question survey that would really give us an idea about what you want from this podcast.

Survival and being prepared should not only be a passion, it should be a lifestyle. The definition of a prepper is "An individual or group that prepares or makes preparations in advance of, or prior to, any change in normal circumstances, without substantial resources from outside sources" Like the Government, police etc. I don't believe that the end of the world will be the "end of the world" I believe it will be the end of the world as we know it now. I really like your podcast. I disagree with some of the information from SPP006 though. Other than some localized incidents, which the government has only shown it’s ineptitude and power hunger. A major global event will end government as we know it. They won’t be able to restore life as we know it, possibly ever. I try to plan for an event that would have no power, no communication, no cars and no government resources.

Love the podcast, became a prepper after living in Japan through the Earthquake & Tsunami of 2011. I like the different area you touch on and give me idea on how and what I need to be ready for.

i like the idea of ‘bugging in’ as opposed to ‘bugging out’
it is not easy carrying everything on your back or in your car and where are you going to go that’s safer, better anyway?

fruit trees are manna from heaven…practice husbandry

funny how most smart folks are still not paying attention

is there really a Mr. Johnson? or is that a nick name for just a random person?

What direct evidence do you have that RFID chips are being placed in people?

That stuff about “the mark of the beast” is nonsense. People will interpret bible verses for any and all ends, regardless of what that particular book actually says.

      Overall, a very interesting podcast.

What do you think about Bernie Sanders as president?

I was an inner city cop for a long time. Staying is not viable in a city. Gangs will stand on corners knock on doors etc ( home invasion) and take your stuff. They look at it as an opportunity.

Bug out ASAP. If not they will car jack your car and the traffic will be massive.

Thank you for posting this! We live in an area that could get hit pretty hard. I don’t think we’d even make it past the blast. It may be reason enough to relocate because we just wouldn’t be able to get away quick enough.

I was just catching up listening to Preparing for an EMP and the Aftermath. When you were speaking about putting a radio and scanner into a faraday cage, it was mentioned that scanning for radio activity is tedious. One way to avoid this is with a Software Defined Radio. For less than $100, you can watch the activity across the radio spectrum simultaneously to decide what to tune in.
