I would have to say the question I get the most often is “where do I start with prepping?” If that's you, you'll find a few good resources to help you along the way.

One of the biggest aspects of preparedness is food storage. Over the years we have done quite a few articles and podcasts on what to store, how to store it, and keeping everything organized.

On the surface, water storage and water safety seems simple, but picking the right water filter and storing large quantities of water can be a challenge.

My wife Lisa and I started the Survivalist Prepper podcast over 5 years ago and take a rational realistic approach to prepping. The podcast is centered around survival skills, prepping skills and how our everyday lives are affected by the changes in the world today.

The podcast is available on iTunes or your favorite Android podcasting app. You can view the full list of podcast episodes here.

We have quite a few videos on YouTube including gear reviews, preparedness tutorials and lessons, and just about anything involving prepping.

If you are just starting out with preparedness, or you are working on becoming more proficient in a subject, take a look at some of these suggestions we have...

Over at the Survivalist Prepper Academy I set up a FREE Prepping Crash Course that goes through food and water storage, first aid supplies, preparing for a power outage and more.

This isn't a checklist of what supplies you need, but rather a list of why you need those supplies and where to focus your attention.

Just enter your email to get this along with a couple bonus downloads.
