Goodbye world is a movie that was billed as a family living of the grid when their home transitions from sheltered modern oasis to a fortress for the estranged old friends that show up at their door for protection and community. I thought is had great potential and fell short. While Lisa thought that there were some valuable lessons we could learn from this movie.

In this show we talk about some of the different scenarios we might face if we are thrust into an SHTF scenario. How will you handle charity in a post collapse situation? How will you store your supplies? Who can you trust and who you should be leery of when your life is on the line.

I am excited to announce that my book titled Be Prepared for Everything is finally available on Amazon. I chose to take a look at the mental aspect of prepping because everyone’s situation is different and there is no one way to prepare. Here is a brief description of the book…

Whether you believe an economic collapse is imminent, the power grid is doomed to fail or you preparing because you see how unsustainable this system really is we need to be prepared for anything. We can’t afford to get blindsided by something because we were looking in a totally different direction.

Preparedness should be a mindset, not a fad. To become a seasoned prepper we need to start from ground zero and work our way up, and we need to do it in a way that doesn’t put us in the poor house. Preparing is also very personalized, there is no one way to build your food storage and no one way to build your bug out bag. All of our situations are different and we need to plan accordingly.
