Survival and being prepared should not only be a passion, it should be a lifestyle. The definition of a prepper is "An individual or group that prepares or makes preparations in advance of, or prior to, any change in normal circumstances, without substantial resources from outside sources" Like the Government, police etc. I don't believe that the end of the world will be the "end of the world" I believe it will be the end of the world as we know it now. Historically the Long Bow was not used in close combat weaponry. It was massed with several archers who would fire a high trajectory to hit unprotected soldiers marching towards the battle. It can be used in close combat, but you have to be exposed to fire it. Thus, making you fair game for the enemy with a better weapon. Once all the rifle/pistol ammo is used up and no one has the means to produce more, then yes, primitive weaponry will come to fruititon again. Try learning the scary-threatening guttoral sounds to make when fighting like Bruce Lee !
